Our history
In 2006, the evangelical organization that is otherwise known as Dispensation of Grace Evangelical Ministry, was born. And a small team comprising of 3 people along with the president of the ministry who were at that time students of Lagos State Polytechnic, began to reach out to institutions of learning in Nigeria. The message of hope and deliverance preached by these young evangelists produced a great harvest of souls and in addition to this, students of these institutions were being healed and delivered from the captivity of Satan.
However, their evangelical mission came to an abrupt end in 2007 when members of the team had graduated from the school. Hence, the vision to win more souls could no longer be pursued since the team members had gone their separate ways.
Albeit, in 2008, God spoke to Evangelist Ponle Adeboye to go back to the ministry of evangelism, for that was the cause in which he was born. Being obedient to the call, Ponle Adeboye took hold of the vision and through the power of the Holy Spirit, he began to preach the word and lived it.
In that same year, God began to send people to the man of God to help him in the work of the ministry and with only few members of people, the meetings began. The Lord instructed the man of God to hold Bible study and prayer meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays of every week. The meeting which started with 4 people would soon transform to a gathering of so many people. For when the news that God was doing miracles in the one room apartment where the meeting was being held soon spread across the city of Ikorodu, for the first time in his short ministry, Ponle preached to a large crowd in his small room. Many were saved, healed and delivered and this was just the beginning of good things to come. Events moved rapidly after this, as the prayer mountain situated at first gate Ikorodu was built and the results of the ministry began to grow.
In 2012, the ministry embarked on a mission outreach to a village in Agadagba, Badagry, Lagos State. And ever since then, both indoor and open-air crusades became the order of the day for Dispensation of Grace Evangelical Ministry in Nigeria and other parts of Africa. Before long, the need for the ministry to spread its tentacles arose. This was crystallized into action by a word from the Lord to the president to begin to write a daily devotional titled Word for Today and The voice of fire. These devotionals were designed to help people draw closer to God and also pray their way into testimony and miracles. All these write ups are still being published on Facebook, whats App, twitter and YouTube till date.
Such is the magnitude of what the Holy Spirit has done and is still doing through the Dispensation of Grace Evangelical Ministry. We are believing God for a greater harvest as the Lord is working through us and as you work together with us by supporting the ministry through fervent prayers and financial support. Together, we will indeed be able to effect a dynamic change in this generation through the power of the Holy Spirit.
